[March 12, 2026] Kakao (CEO Shina Chung) announced that it is recruiting participants for the fourth batch of the “Kakao Tech Bootcamp,” a training program designed to cultivate job-ready developers, with applications open until March 22.

The Kakao Tech Bootcamp is a shared growth education program first launched in 2022 with the goal of fostering developers equipped with skills that can be immediately applied in the workplace. The fourth batch consists of three tracks—AI Development, Full Stack, and Cloud Native—with 50 participants per track, for a total of 150 trainees.

The program will run for approximately six months, from May 12 to November 17, through a combination of online and offline training. Participants will undergo an intensive curriculum totaling around 1,000 hours, including 40 hours per week of training. The curriculum will cover not only theoretical learning but also project-based work, spanning real-world service implementation and operations.

A key feature of the program is that active developers of Kakao participate from the curriculum design stage, strengthening its practical, industry-focused approach. Experienced instructors will provide on-site support, while Kakao developers offer mentoring and special lectures to share technical expertise and collaborative work culture.

Each track is structured around practical applications. The Full Stack track focuses on web service development, the AI Development track on implementing AI services, while the Cloud Native track focuses on infrastructure construction and operations.

Comprehensive support is also provided for participants. Each trainee is assigned an individual workspace at the training center based in Pangyo to enhance focus, along with access to high-performance GPU cloud environments and paid AI tools, ensuring a cutting-edge development infrastructure. In addition, career support programs are offered to assist participants after completion, including resume and portfolio mentoring through professional career coaching.

The program is open to anyone with passion and capability in software development, regardless of academic background, major, or age. Applicants must hold a K-Digital Training “National Tomorrow Learning Card,” issued by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. Detailed schedules and application information are available on the official Kakao Tech Bootcamp website (https://kakaotechbootcamp.com).

Since being selected in 2022 as an operator of the Ministry’s K-Digital Training Digital Leading Academy, Kakao has been actively contributing to the development of technical talent. Including the third batch scheduled to complete the program on March 26, the company has trained a total of 660 tech professionals to date, and plans to recruit an additional 150 participants for the fourth batch.

Eunhee Seo, Kakao’s ESG Tech Talent Development Lead, stated, “The Kakao Tech Bootcamp is a practical IT education program that reflects Kakao’s development culture and collaborative approach. We will continue to advance it as an educational model that not only fosters tech talent for the AI era, but also embodies Kakao’s values of shared growth.” (E.O.D.)
