Daum Communications(CEO, Lee Jae-woong, www.daum.net) announced that its revenues for the first quarter has increased 243% compared to the same quarter of 2000 and increased 28% compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year to reach 13.7 billion won. It recorded 600 million won in operating profit due to rapid growth of e-commerce revenues and execution of cost-effectiveness enabling it to achieve operating profit for two consecutive quarters.

Daum“s CEO Lee said, "Our Daum Shopping Mall shows an average growth of 25% per month and we fully expect to easily achieve our goals of 100 billion won of revenues for this year."
