Daum achieves operating profits in the first half

Daum Communications(CEO, Lee Jae-woong, www.daum.net) announced that it recorded 34.5 billion won in the first half of 2001 and achieved 300 million won in net profit, a first since its KOSDAQ listing.
Daum boasts of world-sized traffic and subscriber base and the Number One portal with influential purchasing power and its Daum Shopping Mall is positioned as a stable profit source. Daum also successfully provides transactional profit service such as, financial plaza, wireless Internet, job opportunities information, education and music.
Since its profit turnover in the fourth quarter of 2000, it is showing continuous growth and its cash flow for the first of this year amounts to 5.6 billion won.
