Daum Communications("Daum", www.daum.net) today reported results for the fiscal year 2001 and outlook for fiscal year 2002.




Daum Communications has been considered as a National No.1 Internet Media with about its users of 40 million and daily pageviews of 350 million in 2001. The Company reported revenues of 90.9 billion won, operating profits of 260 million won, EBITDA(earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and stock compensation expense) of 12 billion won.

Net revenues for the year ended December 31, 2001 were 909 billion won, a 220 percent increase over the 28.5 billion won reported in 2000. Operating profits were 260 million won, turned out to be positive from a loss of 550 million won in 2000. EBITDA was also increased 12 billion over 0.1 million of FY 2000.

Daum is recognized as one of Top 3 Internet Services in global market. Also, it is considered as No 1 Internet media in Korea since as of December 2001, 18.05 million among 19.89 million domestic Internet users visited Daum, excluding group uses such as PC rooms.



Daum is expected to grow more than 3 times compared to FY 2001, expecting revenue of 250 billion won, operating profits of 20 billion and EBITDA of 36 billion.
