Daum Communications("Daum" , www.daum.net) and Media 2.0, a leading movie contents provider, announced they have signed a definitive agreement under which Daum will acquire Media 2.0 , purchasing 58.3% of shares as of January 31, 2002. The transaction reflects an aggregate purchase price of approximately 4 billion won, and Daum will improve its movie contents as well as embark offline media business in earnest.

Media 2.0 will first provide online contents to Daum from February and will manage major parts of Daum movie sections in future.

Beside, Daum has developed media business with partnerships with JYP Entertainment and OI Music since last year.
