2006-06-14, Daum Communications (www.daum.net) said it would launch a new campaign called “Daum Cafe 7th UP“ which would run from June 14th through the end of the month to help the company mark the seventh anniversary of Daum Cafe, which revolutionized Korea“s Internet community culture.

During the campaign Daum Communications will revamp its services to support the diverse community activities of its members, while introducing a variety of programs for sponsoring and fostering cafes. In particular, the company will support differentiated mobile image contents allowing cafe members to the widest selection possible and lure more active participation from its members by setting up the cafe reporters group“ system so that cafe operators can serve as reporters for Media Daum.

Cafe services to be added and strengthened include ▲ a “cafe mobile images“service that allows cafe members to freely post mobile images and share them with other members with a single click, ▲ creation of a “cafe reporters group“ system inviting cafe operators to serve as reporters for Media Daum, ▲ upgrades to the search service allowing users to search all texts posted in individual cafes ▲ and, revision of the cafe comment services, which enables users to respond directly to the stories and content they find throughout the portal site by leaving messages. In addition, Daum will open the “Supporters Cafe“ (http://cafe.daum.net/supporters) to support cultural activities of cafes, regular meetings of members, and excellent cafes.
