2006-09-26, Daum Communications (www.daum.net) said on September 26 it would roll out a one-stop shopping search service called “Shopping How“ in its integrated search sector.

The Shopping How site (http://shopping.daum.net) provides price comparisons of all kinds of goods, and allows users to make a one-stop search through the objective and reliable user-created content (UCC) offered by 6.25 million cafes, blogs and new knowledge search services that are linked with Daum’s community service. In other words, the site allows consumers to conveniently obtain the quality shopping information needed to make informed decisions on buying goods, without searching many sites. Shopping information includes ▲ a variety of product reviews, ▲ an evaluation of products, ▲ and purchase know-how.

For this new service, Daum Communications formed a strategic alliance in June with Danawa, the largest price comparison site. Also, Daum “Shopping How“ site plans to provide information and price comparison search services for more than 9 million products in some 1,300 shopping malls registered with Danawa. “Shopping How“ will also offer information on some 1 million goods, specially designed sales and promotion events by the integrated Internet shopping malls, “d&shop“ and “Daum Onket“. Daum Communications intends to continue expanding these categories through alliances with other Internet shopping malls.
