KakaoTalk Now Available on Nokia Asha

[Seoul, Korea – February 17, 2014] “Users on Nokia Asha 500~503 devices can now have fun chatting with friends for free on KakaoTalk!”

Kakao, the provider of mobile messenger and social platform KakaoTalk, announced that KakaoTalk for Nokia Asha is now available for Nokia 500, 501, 502 and 503 devices. This will enable users of these devices to enjoy many of the app’s popular messaging features, including free 1:1 and group chat, 160 free KakaoFriends emoticons, photo sharing and faster messaging delivery. With this latest addition, users can now enjoy KakaoTalk on six operating systems: Android, iOS, Blackberry, Bada, Windows Phone and Nokia Asha.

KakaoTalk for Nokia Asha was launched as a result of Kakao’s continuous efforts to provide a cross platform messenger service that transcends all device, location, and language barriers. After KakaoTalk for iOS was first introduced in March 2010, Kakao has since followed through by including other OS versions, helping more users connect and communicate with their friends, family and colleagues.

KakaoTalk for Asha supports 12 languages and is available for download in all countries where Nokia Stores are available. While the Nokia Asha device support is limited to the 500-503 series in the initial phase of the launch, Kakao plans to expand to a wider range of devices in the coming months.
