A creative island with new connections

For a long time, Jeju has been barren land for entrepreneurs. Talented and creative people have all flocked to the Seoul metropolitan area, severing any opportunities for Jeju to engage in meaningful exchange, experience growth or attract investors.

 

The Jeju Center for Creative Economy & Innovation was established to

1) Initiate changes in Jeju’s entrepreneurial ecosystem,

2) Innovate through cooperation and partnership, and

3) Create a community through education and practice, in order to rejuvenate Jeju's startup ecosystem.

 

The Jeju Center for Creative Economy & Innovation discovered many youth talents in Jeju through hackathons and academy classes, and held numerous innovative projects associated with Jeju.

The Center also held Demo Day events where entrepreneurs attract seed money and angel investors, with 36 companies attracting a total of 23.96 billion KRW so far.
