KakaoTalk Partners with World Vision to Help Victims of Typhoon Maring

KakaoTalk has partnered with World Vision to help families affected by Typhoon Maring in Paranaque City. The company distributed care packages with food and hygiene products to three communities in Brgy. San Dionisio. [Manila, Philippines – Septemver 13, 2013] KakaoTalk, the newest mobile messaging application to reach the country, has partnered with World Vision Philippines to distribute relief goods to three communities in Brgy. San Dionisio, Paranaque City. Employees from Kakao’s headquarter in Korea came together to raise more than USD 12,000 to benefit Filipino families in need. The donation was used to purchase food and hygiene kits for families in the affected areas.
Tim Jang, Kakao Philippines Director, says, “Our colleagues from Korea really showed overwhelming support for this initiative. All of us at Kakao appreciate how well-received we have been by the Filipino community and this is our way of giving back.”
